Cedar Creek Kennels

Why this breed

We chose to breed West Highland Terriers because they possess so many of the qualities families are looking for in a companion dog. Their compact size makes them easy to live with, while their sturdy build allows them to keep up with active families. Westies are known for their happy, outgoing personalities, intelligence, and confidence. They are affectionate with their families, wonderful with children, and generally get along well with other pets when properly socialized. Another feature many families appreciate is their low-shedding, hypoallergenic coat, making them a great option for those looking for a cleaner home environment. Above all, Westies are full of character, they are playful, loyal, entertaining, and always manage to bring a smile to your face. Their unique combination of personality, companionship, and charm is what made us fall in love with the breed.

What sets us apart

At Cedar Creek Kennels, we believe every puppy deserves the very best start in life. Our puppies are lovingly raised in our home as part of our family, where they receive daily socialization, care, and attention from the day they are born. Before going to their new homes, each puppy is dewormed, vet checked, receives their first set of vaccinations, is microchipped, and is registered with the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC). We also include 30 days of pet insurance, a health guarantee, and lifetime breeder support. We are committed to being a resource for our puppy families for the entire life of their dog.

Homes we look for

West Highland Terriers thrive in a wide variety of homes and are wonderful companions for singles, couples, families with children, and active retirees. Their friendly and confident nature makes them great with kids, and they often enjoy being involved in family activities. Westies are adaptable enough to live in both apartments and larger homes, provided they receive regular exercise and mental stimulation. These intelligent little dogs love being part of the family and do best in homes where they can spend plenty of time with their people. They generally get along well with other dogs when properly socialized and are known for their loyal, affectionate personalities. Whether you're looking for a playful family pet, a walking companion, or a devoted best friend, a Westie can be a wonderful addition to your home.
