Paw Rewards: Canada’s First Dog App Connecting Canada’s Dog Community
Paw Rewards brings Canadian dog owners, responsible breeders and dog-friendly businesses together through rewards, Adventures, training, Paw Quests, Paw Wise resources and lifelong memories.

Last reviewed: September 13, 2026
Life with a dog is a journey, not a transaction.
It begins before a puppy comes home. It continues through Gotcha Day, first walks, training breakthroughs, health decisions, road trips, rainy-day drills, favourite local businesses and the everyday moments that gradually become lifelong memories.
Most dog apps focus on one small part of that journey. One app tracks walks. Another lists businesses. Another provides training videos or product recommendations.
The Paw Rewards app brings those pieces together in one distinctly Canadian experience.
Paw Rewards connects dog owners, responsible breeders, Canadian businesses, trainers, creators and dog-friendly destinations through one shared community. Owners can record Adventures, complete training activities, participate in Challenges and Paw Quests, earn Treats, research products through Paw Wise, explore Puppy Academy and find useful services in the Canadian dog-friendly Business Directory.
It is not simply a dog-walking app or another online directory. Paw Rewards is the owner-facing app at the heart of the wider Paw Privileges ecosystem—a community built to help Canadians discover, choose, learn, explore, earn and remember more of life with their dogs.

What is the Paw Rewards app?
Paw Rewards is a free Canadian dog app designed around the real relationship between an owner and their dog.
While Paw Privileges is the larger Canadian ecosystem, Paw Rewards is where dog owners put that ecosystem into action. It connects daily activities—walking, training, learning, reviewing, sharing and exploring—with useful resources, community participation and eligible rewards.
The app is designed to support owners throughout their dog’s life rather than appearing only when there is something to sell.
A family looking for a puppy can learn how to recognize a responsible breeder. A new owner can celebrate Gotcha Day with a special Memory Box. An experienced owner can explore advanced training, join a Paw Quest, research Canadian-made products, discover dog-friendly destinations or contribute helpful reviews for other community members.
Paw Rewards grows with the relationship.
Built for the whole journey with your dog
Dog ownership is made up of thousands of connected decisions.
Which breed is right for your household? How do you identify a responsible breeder? What should you prepare before bringing a puppy home? Which food fits your dog? Where can you find a local trainer? What can you do when formal training is not scheduled? Which parks, patios, accommodations and services welcome dogs?
Paw Rewards is designed to help owners navigate those questions without forcing every decision into a single philosophy, product category or commercial recommendation.
Discover. Choose. Learn. Explore. Reward. Remember.
Owners receive tools and information that help them understand their options. They remain responsible for choosing what is appropriate for their individual dog, household, budget, goals and circumstances.
Supporting responsible Canadian breeders
A connected dog community must begin by supporting the people working to give dogs the best possible start.
Paw Rewards and Paw Privileges actively support responsible breeders across Canada. This includes helping owners understand the difference between responsible breeding and high-volume or poorly planned puppy production.
Responsible breeding involves far more than having puppies available. It includes appropriate health testing, thoughtful pairing decisions, early social development, honest communication, suitable contracts and a commitment to supporting families after a puppy goes home.
Through the Paw Privileges breeder experience, participating breeders can create profiles, share information about their programs, connect with prospective families and remain part of the dog’s journey after placement.
Owners can use the Responsible Breeder Directory to research participating Canadian breeders and learn what questions to ask before making a decision.
The goal is not to create a simple advertising list. It is to make responsible breeding more visible, help informed owners recognize better practices and strengthen the connection between breeders and families.
Paw Rewards was built with responsible breeders—not around them.
Celebrating Gotcha Day with exclusive Memory Boxes
Gotcha Day is the moment a dog becomes family.
It deserves to be remembered as more than a pickup date on a calendar. It marks the beginning of a new relationship, new routines and an entirely new chapter for both the dog and the family.
The Paw Privileges Gotcha Day Memory Box was created to celebrate that beginning.
Participating breeder families may receive a complimentary Memory Box when their puppy goes home. Eligible new puppy parents who did not receive a box through their breeder can also submit a request through their account. Requests are reviewed by Paw Privileges.
Each box is designed as both a useful welcome and a keepsake. It may include curated Canadian products, education, owner resources and meaningful elements that help families remember the day their dog came home.
The purpose is not to overwhelm new owners with samples. It is to offer a thoughtful introduction to responsible ownership, Canadian businesses and the support available through the Paw Rewards community.
The Memory Box also represents something larger: the owner, breeder and community do not need to disconnect after Gotcha Day. Paw Rewards gives them a place to continue sharing progress, questions, milestones and memories.
One profile for your dog’s evolving story
A dog changes enormously over a lifetime, and the information an owner needs changes with them.
The Paw Rewards profile helps owners bring important parts of that journey together. Adventures, training progress, community participation, achievements, photographs and milestones can become part of an evolving record of life with the dog.
This creates continuity.
The first neighbourhood walk can eventually sit alongside a first camping trip. Early puppy exercises can lead into intermediate training and advanced working-dog skills. A Gotcha Day memory can become the beginning of years of shared experiences.
Paw Rewards is not meant to turn a dog’s life into a performance score. It gives owners a meaningful way to notice progress, celebrate consistency and preserve the moments that would otherwise be easy to forget.
GPS Adventures for walks worth remembering
Walking is one of the most consistent parts of life with a dog, but no two walks are quite the same.
Some are short neighbourhood outings. Others are training sessions, trail explorations, road-trip stops or quiet decompression walks after a busy day.
Through Adventures with Your Dog, owners can record eligible walks and other activities using Paw Rewards.
A typical GPS Adventure allows the owner to:
- Start an Adventure
- Select the appropriate activity
- Track the route, time and distance
- Finish the Adventure
- Save or share the completed experience
Owners can use Adventures to support personal goals, participate in Challenges and create memories of the places explored with their dogs.
The emphasis is not on competing with every other owner. For some families, progress means walking farther. For others, it means helping a nervous dog feel comfortable on a familiar route, practising engagement around distractions or simply getting outside consistently.
Every dog’s adventure can look different.
Training designed for the dog in front of you
Training should reflect the dog, the handler, the environment and the purpose of the work.
The Paw Rewards training module begins by establishing an appropriate training level based on factors such as the dog’s age, current skills, experience and working background. Training activities are then presented at a suitable level instead of giving every dog the same generic checklist.
The progression begins with foundations suitable for an eight-week-old puppy and extends through intermediate and advanced work to K9 working and military-style precision exercises.
When a dog completes qualifying work with at least 90% accuracy and demonstrates the required level of consistency, the app can advance the dog to the next training level. More advanced levels may also require sufficient experience with challenging exercises before promotion.
This creates a clear path without pretending every dog must move at the same speed.
Paw Rewards does not prescribe one training ideology or dismiss properly used training tools. Effective training depends on knowledge, timing, clarity, safety, appropriate application and an honest understanding of the individual dog.
The app’s exercises can be especially useful for:
- Short daily training sessions
- Rainy-day indoor drills
- Reinforcing formal lessons between classes
- Adding structure to neighbourhood walks
- Building reliability around distractions
- Maintaining skills with experienced dogs
- Giving working breeds meaningful mental activity
- Helping owners recognize when professional support is needed
Paw Rewards training is intended to complement hands-on instruction, not replace it. Owners are encouraged to find a local dog trainer whose experience, methods and communication style suit both the dog and the family.
Training Tuesday: a live weekly training event
Every Tuesday, Paw Rewards hosts Training Tuesday, a live recurring app event that encourages owners to complete training activities appropriate to their dog’s current level.
Rather than issuing one universal exercise, Training Tuesday can provide work aligned with the dog’s established progression. A young puppy may receive a simple foundation exercise, while an advanced dog may be asked to demonstrate greater precision, duration or environmental reliability.
Eligible Training Tuesday participation can also earn additional bonuses under the current event rules.
The larger goal is consistency. Formal classes and private lessons are valuable, but development also happens during the short sessions between appointments. Training Tuesday gives owners a reason to practise, record progress and keep useful skills active.
Owners can learn more in the complete Training Tuesday guide.
Earn Treats through meaningful participation
Paw Rewards calls its reward currency Treats.
Eligible owners can earn Treats through qualifying activities such as:
- Completing eligible walks and Adventures
- Participating in training
- Completing live events
- Joining Challenges and Paw Quests
- Sharing appropriate stories and experiences
- Reviewing places, products or services
- Checking in and discovering participating locations
- Referring or engaging with the community
- Completing special campaigns
The system is designed to recognize useful participation—not meaningless tapping.
Current earning requirements, eligibility rules, bonuses and available redemption opportunities are displayed in the live app and may change as new campaigns and partners are introduced.
Owners can review the complete How to Earn Paw Rewards guide for more information.
Three ways to participate in Paw Rewards Challenges
Paw Rewards includes three distinct community challenge experiences.
1. The monthly walking Challenge
The monthly walking Challenge brings the wider Paw Rewards community together around a collective distance goal.
Owners contribute qualifying kilometres through eligible recorded Adventures. The emphasis is on what the community can accomplish together, rather than only celebrating whoever walks the farthest.
Additional Treats or bonuses may be available based on the current monthly Challenge rules.
2. Private Challenges
Owners can create or join private Challenges with friends, family members, followers or other Paw Rewards owners.
A private Challenge can focus on walking, Walk & Train activities or training goals. The creator chooses the dates and goal, invites participants and follows the current verification requirements for eligible activities.
Creators and responsible breeders may also use private or group Challenges to connect with followers, puppy families and community members where those options are enabled.
3. Paw Quests
Paw Quests are official campaigns with their own dates, eligibility requirements, qualifying activities and rewards.
A Paw Quest can combine movement, learning, exploration, training and community participation. Supporting resources may connect participants with Paw Wise research, Puppy Academy education or relevant places in the Business Directory.
Because every campaign can be different, owners should always read the live Quest details before participating.
Paw Quests turn useful activities into shared Canadian experiences without treating every dog or family as identical.
A dog community built around participation
Many social platforms reward endless scrolling. Paw Rewards is designed to encourage owners to do something meaningful with their dogs and then share the experience.
Within the Paw Rewards community, members can discover stories, celebrate achievements, follow shared Adventures, participate in groups and connect with people who understand the realities of life with a dog.
Breeders can remain connected with puppy families. Creators can bring followers together around appropriate Challenges. Owners can recommend useful discoveries and celebrate progress that may seem small to outsiders but matters enormously to the dog and family involved.
A first calm walk through a busy neighbourhood matters.
So does a reliable recall, a first camping trip, a successful introduction, a senior dog’s comfortable outing or a puppy finally understanding an exercise.
Paw Rewards gives those moments a home.
Paw Wise: better information for everyday decisions
Dog owners are surrounded by marketing claims.
Food packaging, supplement promises, social media recommendations and sponsored content can make it difficult to tell the difference between useful information and a well-funded sales message.
Paw Wise is the product intelligence and decision-support centre within the Paw Privileges ecosystem. Its purpose is to help owners research, compare, understand and decide.
Paw Wise ratings are not for sale.
Instead of telling every owner there is one universally correct product, Paw Wise examines available information such as ingredients, formulation, nutritional purpose, transparency, evidence and practical considerations.
The owner remains responsible for making the final decision based on the dog in front of them.
Feed Wise
Feed Wise helps owners research and compare dog foods available in Canada.
Paw Rewards encourages families to explore fresh and raw feeding whenever it is practical and appropriate for the individual dog and household. When kibble is the necessary or preferred option, Feed Wise helps owners examine Canadian choices, ingredient quality, formulation and brand transparency.
The goal is informed feeding—not loyalty to multinational marketing.
Treat Wise
Treat Wise helps owners compare treats, chews and training rewards.
Owners can look beyond front-of-package claims and consider ingredients, processing, intended use, portioning and safety factors. A product used for occasional enrichment may need to be assessed differently from a reward used dozens of times during training.
Supplement Wise
Supplement Wise organizes supplements by purpose, formulation, ingredients and available evidence.
It helps owners ask better questions before adding powders, oils, chews or other supplements to a dog’s routine. It does not replace individualized advice from an appropriate Canadian veterinary or nutrition professional.
Clean Wise
Dogs live close to floors, fabrics, toys, bedding and the surfaces people clean every day.
Clean Wise helps owners examine household cleaning products, their ingredients and practical precautions for homes with dogs.
Breed Wise
Breed Wise supports better breed research by helping families understand temperament tendencies, activity needs, grooming, training considerations and lifestyle fit.
It is useful before choosing a dog and throughout ownership, especially when owners want to understand the purpose behind breed-specific behaviour.
Canada Wise
Canada Wise makes it easier to discover Canadian-made dog food, treats, supplements and cleaning products while examining available ownership and manufacturing information.
Buying Canadian should be an informed decision. Canada Wise helps owners understand what “Canadian” actually means for each product rather than relying solely on packaging imagery.
Paw Vacation Planner
The Paw Vacation Planner helps owners organize dog-friendly Canadian trips around accommodations, dining, parks, activities and useful services.
It connects travel planning with real destinations and Business Directory resources, helping owners spend less time opening dozens of tabs and more time building an itinerary that works for their dog.
Puppy Academy: education from puppyhood onward
Puppy Academy is the educational foundation of the ecosystem.
Despite its name, it is not useful only during puppyhood. Its resources support owners before they select a dog and throughout the dog’s life.
Puppy Academy is organized around seven core areas:
- Finding the right dog
- Responsible breeding
- Health
- Nutrition
- Training
- Life with your dog
- Paw Rewards
The Academy helps owners prepare for decisions instead of reacting only after something goes wrong.
A prospective owner can research breed compatibility and responsible breeding. A new puppy family can learn about routines, development and early training. An experienced owner can explore enrichment, travel, nutrition or more advanced skill-building.
The purpose is education with practical application—not judgment, fear or allegiance to a single commercial system.
A Canadian dog-friendly Business Directory
Finding the right local business can dramatically improve life with a dog.
The Paw Rewards Canadian Business Directory helps owners discover dog-related services and dog-friendly destinations by category and location.
Depending on availability in the owner’s area, listings may include:
- Dog trainers and behaviour professionals
- Groomers
- Dog walkers
- Daycares and boarding
- Veterinary and rehabilitation services
- Pet retailers
- Nutrition and specialty stores
- Dog-friendly patios and cafés
- Accommodations and campgrounds
- Beaches and off-leash spaces
- Private dog parks
- Dog sports and activities
- Photographers
- Bakeries and celebration services
- Transportation and in-home support
- Emergency and specialized resources
The directory complements other Paw Rewards features.
An owner completing training activities can search for a local trainer. A family planning a Paw Quest can find relevant destinations. Someone preparing a dog-friendly road trip can connect directory listings with the Paw Vacation Planner.
Businesses can become part of the community owners are already using instead of appearing only as isolated search results.
Canadian businesses, offers and discovery
Paw Rewards creates opportunities for Canadian dog businesses and participating partners to reach owners through useful discovery and current offers.
Owners may find public offers as well as private opportunities connected to their account, breeder relationship, community or eligibility. Availability, quantities, locations and terms can vary, so the live offer details should always be reviewed before participating.
The focus is on relevance.
A good offer should introduce an owner to something useful, support a Canadian business or add value to an activity the family was already completing. It should not require owners to trade away the purpose of the community for constant advertising.
Current opportunities can be explored through Paw Rewards Exclusive Offers.

You do not need a puppy from a participating breeder to join the wider Paw Rewards community. The app is intended to support Canadian dog owners across breeds, backgrounds, ages and experience levels.
More than a dog-walking app
Paw Rewards can track dog walks, but it is not merely a GPS tracker.
It includes training, but it does not pretend an app replaces a skilled trainer.
It provides product research, but it does not sell Paw Wise ratings.
It includes business listings, but it is more than a directory.
It offers Treats, but the community is not built around meaningless actions or constant shopping.
Its purpose is to connect the parts of dog ownership that usually exist in separate places.
That is what makes Paw Rewards different: it recognizes that the same person researching a responsible breeder today may soon need puppy education, a trainer, feeding information, a dog-friendly campground, an Adventure tracker and a way to remember Gotcha Day.
The dog’s life is connected. The owner experience should be too.
