Paw Rewards vs Lev: Which dog rewards app fits your life?

Published by Paw Privileges · Last reviewed

Lev rewards dog walks with Bones for Marketplace discounts; Paw Rewards offers Treats through qualifying walks, training, check-ins and other activities, alongside Paw Quests. This comparison is written by Paw Privileges, the team behind Paw Rewards. It draws on our current published rules and Lev’s official Canadian App Store listing, not a claim that we tested every feature in either app.

Walk rewards: Bones vs Treats

Lev describes Bones as its in-app currency. Walk your dog, collect Bones and use them for discounts in its Marketplace. Its listing also includes dog-friendly places, trails and ways to connect with nearby dog owners.

Paw Rewards uses Treats. Qualifying walks and other activities can earn Treats when you are signed in to an active free app account. Our Rewards & Redemption Terms give 10,000 Treats a $10 CAD reference redemption value. Treats are promotional loyalty points, not cash or a bank balance.

What happens to your rewards?

Lev’s version 14.1.0 release notes state: “Bones now refresh every 30 days — don’t forget to use them!” That is the listing’s wording. It does not fully explain the clock, exceptions or what happens to every type of unused Bone; check Lev’s current Wallet and terms before saving for a reward.

Paw Rewards’ current published redemption terms do not impose a standard 30-day balance reset; current program terms and individual earning opportunities still apply.

That is not a “Treats never expire” guarantee. Our terms allow changes to earning opportunities, reference values and reward availability. A dated Paw Quest or a temporary opportunity on a walk is separate from Treats already credited to your account; check the rules of the individual opportunity.

Beyond the walk

Paw Rewards includes training, qualifying check-ins, sharing memories, eligible reviews and Paw Quests. The Treats earning and redemption guide explains the different paths. Not every post, review or activity earns Treats, and Quest dates and entry rules apply.

Public App Store and Google Play reviews are optional and are not rewarded. Eligible in-app reviews or private feedback tasks are different activities, with their own requirements.

Lev is more than a walk counter too. Its release notes describe trails, City Chats, a social feed, moderated check-ins with reviews or photos and rewards for sharing purchases. Compare the activities you actually enjoy, not just the currency name.

Canada-first dog life

Paw Rewards is Canadian-owned and intentionally Canada-focused. Explore dog-friendly places, meet our partner brands and check available rewards. Confirm a venue’s current dog policy before visiting; a directory entry is not a guarantee of access.

Lev also serves Canadian owners. Its v20.2.0 history says “Marketplace orders now fully support Canada,” and v19.1.0 describes a shipping filter for shops that deliver to the US or Canada. Check each shop’s delivery and purchase terms rather than assuming every item ships everywhere.

A responsible-breeder trust layer

This belongs to the wider Paw Privileges program, not to walk tracking itself. Our application requires “purebred dogs registered with a recognized registry,” breed-appropriate health-testing documents and a breeder contract covering lifelong support, return and breeder-assisted rehoming.

Applications are reviewed before listings go live. These are Paw Privileges’ requirements, not a claim of CKC certification or a guarantee about a particular puppy. Find a verified Canadian breeder, read the Code of Ethics and request the litter’s actual records. Families can also ask their breeder about current Gotcha Day Memory Box arrangements.

Lev’s app listing is not presented as a breeder-verification service. This is an additional Paw Privileges connection, not a failing of a walking and social app.

English and French support

Lev lists French among its supported languages. Version 20.2.0 says Spanish, Portuguese and French support were added.

Paw Rewards has English/French interface translations and selected French public pages, including breeder and directory pages. This comparison, the earning guide and the redemption terms are currently in English. We do not claim full bilingual parity across every page or feature.

Which app is better for you?

Lev may suit you if your priority is collecting on walks, discovering trails and nearby dog owners, and browsing its Marketplace. Read the current Bones refresh rules and check Canadian delivery before purchasing.

Paw Rewards may suit you if you want several qualifying earning paths, training, Paw Quests and Canadian places and partner brands, alongside breeder and directory connections. Start with the current Treats rules and available rewards rather than expecting a specific product or prize.

Start with your next walk

Paw Rewards is free. No breeder or partner invitation is needed to earn qualifying Treats with an active app account.

Frequently asked questions

Is Paw Rewards the same as Lev?

No. Both encourage time out with your dog and offer rewards. Lev combines Bones, walking, trails, social discovery and a Marketplace. Paw Rewards combines Treats, multiple qualifying earning paths, training and Paw Quests within the Canadian-focused Paw Privileges community.

Do Paw Rewards Treats reset every 30 days?

Paw Rewards’ current published redemption terms do not impose a standard 30-day balance reset; current program terms and individual earning opportunities still apply. This is not a promise that Treats never expire or that program rules cannot change.

Can I use Paw Rewards in Canada?

Yes. Paw Rewards is intentionally focused on Canadian dog owners. An active free app account is required to earn and redeem Treats. Public browsing and guest vacation planning do not earn Treats.

Does Paw Rewards reward more than walking?

Yes. Qualifying training, check-ins, eligible reviews, sharing and Paw Quests can also offer Treats under current rules. Not every action earns Treats. Public App Store and Google Play reviews are optional and are not rewarded.

Does Paw Rewards verify breeders?

Breeder verification belongs to the wider Paw Privileges program. Applications require recognized purebred registry information, breed-appropriate health-testing documents and a contract covering lifelong support, return and breeder-assisted rehoming. Applications are reviewed before a listing goes live; verification is not a guarantee about an individual puppy.

Is Paw Rewards free?

Yes. Paw Rewards is free to download and use, with no paid app membership, subscription or premium tier. An active free account is required to earn and redeem Treats. Third-party purchases, bookings and optional Express shipping are separate costs.
