Arrowpoint

Arrowpoint German Shorthaired Pointers is a Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) registered breeding program based in Amherstburg, Ontario, dedicated to producing healthy, well-tempered German Shorthaired Pointer puppies that excel as versatile sporting companions and loving family dogs. Rooted in a deep respect for the breed’s historic role as an all-purpose gun dog — capable of pointing, tracking, and retrieving in both field and water — Arrowpoint prioritizes balance between structure, temperament, and functional ability.

At Arrowpoint, breeding decisions are guided by a commitment to responsible, ethical practices. Each parent is selected for sound health, stable temperament, and breed-typical conformation, with appropriate health testing undertaken to support overall well-being and longevity. Puppies are raised in a family environment where socialization and early positive experiences are emphasized, ensuring confident, adaptable dogs ready for a variety of future roles — from performance and sport to devoted companions in active homes.

The German Shorthaired Pointer is a breed celebrated for its intelligence, trainability, and enthusiastic eagerness to engage with people — traits Arrowpoint actively nurtures through thoughtful breeding and early development. A well-bred GSP thrives not only in the field but also as a part of everyday family life, bringing energy, loyalty, and affectionate companionship to homes that appreciate an athletic, engaged partner.

Arrowpoint German Shorthaired Pointers places lifelong support and education at the forefront of their breeder-owner relationships. Prospective families are encouraged to learn about the breed’s needs and lifestyle fit, and ongoing guidance is provided to ensure each dog’s potential is fully realized. As stewards of the breed, Arrowpoint upholds the values of responsible breeding, preservation of type, and dedication to the health and happiness of every puppy placed.
